ARIES helpful healthful hints

Fire signs are busy and active people.

It's a must for Aries to eat a well-balanced diet to maintain good health and steady energy. A good diet includes lots of fruits and vegetables with lean meats only. Eat slowly to give your body a chance to absorb the nutrients of your food.

Aries need to avoid caffeine as you are naturally stimulated with vigorous energy.

In the spring, you tend to get headaches and often sinus conditions. Avoid table salt, dairy, and alcohol when you're under the weather. Alcohol is taxing on your kidneys.

If your boyfriend is an Aries, here's the best way to relax him after he's used up his energy reserves:

Starting at the base of his hairline, massage gently upward over his skull using light pressure with your fingertips. This gentle massage relaxes his nervous system.

Dark Circles and Puffy Eyes

Whether you were out late last night dancing with your girlfriends or up early fighting with your boyfriend, our eyes in the day tell the story of our night.

After applying a cool cloth to your eyes, use a clean cotton ball to pat a little cottage cheese gently underneath. Leave on for ten minutes. After rinsing with cool water, pat dry. This is the perfect remedy for dark circles.

Potatoes are a wonder. Nutritious and delicious, they are also good for late night reparation. Place two potato slices under your eyes. Rest for ten minutes. Splash with cool water. The puffy circles are less noticeable and might even be gone!

Drink plenty of water. Avoid dairy and sugar for a couple of days. Be good to yourself. Your eyes will shine again!

The Little Golden Apple

It's Apricot Season!

According to Greek mythology, the Hesperides were three beautiful nymphs who guarded the legendary Golden Apple tree the goddess Hera received as wedding a gift from Gaia (the Earth). Greek historians believe the apricot is the “golden apple.”

The apricot (Prunus armeniaca), is the native fruit of Armenia. The little velvet treat is a relative of the peach whose season is summer.

The apricot originated thousands of years ago in China, where they still grow wild in the mountains. Delicately flavored, this pale orangish fruit traveled west on camel caravans to the Mediterranean, where it was planted and flourished. Spanish explorers introduced apricots to California in the 18th century.

This tiny soft fruit is packed with potassium and vitamins C and A (beta-carotene). Beta-carotene is good for the skin, hair, gums, and glands. It builds bone and teeth. Apricots are also a good source of fiber.

Apricots are delicious as a quick snack – fresh or dried.
